Alice bands, also called headbands or hair hoops, are among the oldest hair accessories. As early as the Middle Ages, headbands were used in a variety of ways and their popularity has not diminished to this day. This is also reflected in the English name of the headband: Alice Band. This name was given to the headband in reference to the fairy tale Alice in Wonderland from 1865. Like the story itself, the headband thus stands for curiosity in a classic-conventional setting.
As with most hair products, the main focus of the Alice band is comfort. Alice bands are used for evening wear as well as in everyday life. For this reason, long periods of wear must not be a problem - even after several hours, the Alice bands must not cause any pain.
